Jean Kubacak of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the age of 84. She was born January 12, 1933 in Plainview to Francis "Bozo" and Alice Jane (Sinclair) Chancey. Jean was a devoted wife and mother. She married Jimmy Lewis Kubacak on April 13, 1950. Together the couple raised four children.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, James Kubacak and wife Angela; daughters, Kathy Kubacak, Pamela Lester Haggerd and husband Gary, and Penny Gregston and husband Blake; eight grandchildren, Vincent, Kendra, Marrissa, Nicole, Elizabeth, Caleb, Tina, and Robert; and seven great-grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 37 years; and several siblings.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with the family receiving friends 5:30-7:00 p.m. Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
