The Lord called home another mighty soldier on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, Bryan Ceil Hardin, Jr., a soldier of 101 years of life on this earth, and 72 years of marriage. He was born on February 5, 1917 in Blum, Texas to the late Bryan and Nellie (Hodges) Hardin, Sr. B.C. served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Reta Phifer on February 10, 1946 in McAdoo, Texas and together they began their family.

His wounds are healed, and his strength regained. B.C. is with his Savior now and was welcomed home by many soldiers that had gone before him, his parents and other extended family and friends.

B.C. was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Gene; and one sister, Geneva.

He is survived by his wife, Reta Mac Hardin; two sons, Lyndon Hardin and wife, Judy, and Randall Hardin and wife, Harmony; one daughter, Reta Cooper and husband, Rick; grandchildren, Bryan Hardin and wife, Amanda, Sharla Osburn and husband, Derek, Kasey Hearn and husband, Matt, Penny Kahlich, John Pierce, Riki Underwood and husband, Rob, Kary Cooper and wife, Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Aspyn, Makaidyn, and Pacyn Osburn, Jaelyn Hardin, Lindsey, and Jace Hearn, Kayla Pharr and husband, Michael, Katlyn Collins, Jackson and Alyssa Underwood; great-great grandchildren, Jessica and Owen Pharr; two brothers, Bill Hardin and wife, Roberta, and Bob Hardin, and sister-in-law, Doris Ann Hardin.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Combest Family Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at the McAdoo Cemetery in McAdoo, Texas.

The family would like to extend their sincere thank you to Wilshire Place, Interim Hospice, and the Veterans Administration for the loving care that was given to B.C. during this time.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial donations be made to Redbud Baptist Church of Lubbock, or the McAdoo Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 56, McAdoo, Texas 79243.
