Gregory Don Jeffcoat, 58 of Lubbock passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018. He was born August 1, 1960 to Donald Eugene Jeffcoat and Judy Lamb. Greg was lucky enough to graduate and receive his bachelor's degree in Physical Education from his favorite university, Texas Tech, Guns Up! He taught history, math and geometry alongside officiating and coaching in Jerrell, Three way, Southland, Amherst, Valley, Spur, Dunbar, Cavazos and LCJJC. Greg enjoyed playing golf, poker, was an avid domino player in tournaments and a bingo connoisseur. He also served as a referee for all sports, but his favorite was Texas Tech indoor track. His family is thrilled that he was able to witness his Astros win the World Series but regrets his chronic disappointment with the Dallas Cowboys. Greg was a man of faith and supporter of the Shepard's Chapel. One of his greatest joys was being a pop-pop to his grandkids and all of his extended grandkids

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Melissa and husband Dillon McDonald, Megan Jeffcoat; furry feline daughter, Sasha; brother, Mark and wife Kristin Jeffcoat; two grandchildren, Kaysen Carter, Brayden Shelley; nieces, Katherine Jeffcoat, Lizzy Jeffcoat, Chelsie Bewley; mother, Judy Lamb; and numerous special nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gail Jeffcoat; father, Don Jeffcoat; and special grandparents, Gene and Dean Jeffcoat.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2018 with a Celebration of Life service at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Venue on Broadway with interment to follow at the City of Lubbock.
