Adelina Guerrero

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Adelina Guerrero's passing on January 16, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. Born on December 22, 1943, in Realitos, Texas, 

 A proud grandmother to 10 and great-grandmother to 10, Adelina had a knack for bringing her family together. She loved sewing and creating beautiful blankets for her grandchildren, along with whipping up her unique tamales that everyone adored. She served as a Dietician for many years with Crosbyton ISD and unofficially a self-proclaimed hairdresser. 

 Adelina was the daughter of Esteban and Celia De La Garza and was preceded in death by her first love, Daniel Gonzales, who passed away in 1998, along with her beloved husband of 11 years, Robert Guerrero, and her son, Ernest Gonzales. She leaves behind her two daughters, Cynthia Gonzales, Sylvia Sanchez along with her son, Lupe Gonzales and wife Beth, and her three brothers—Robert De la Garza and wife Bea, Lupe De la Garza, and Conrad De la Garza and wife Josie—who will all miss her dearly.

  Family and friends will gather for a public viewing at Combest Family Funeral Home on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Idalou Cemetery on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 2:00 pm. 

Adelina will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May her soul rest in peace.
