Adelina "Lena" Perez

Adelina “Lena” Perez of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the age of 60. She was born March 7, 1954 in Lubbock to Carlos and Mary (Garcia) Herrera.  Lena worked for Texas Instruments for over 25 years and then Covenant Medical Center for more than 10 years.  She married Rodolfo Perez on June 9, 1971.  She was a member of the Parkinson’s Association and Trinity Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of almost 43 years, Rodolfo; children, Rodolfo Paul Perez, Rodolfo Perez, Jr. and wife Paloma Herrera, Raquel and husband Danny Nunez, and Selena Perez, all of Lubbock; siblings, Roger Herrera of Big Spring, Beatrice Cantu, Kina Quintero, and Lita Gonzalez, all of Lubbock, and Mary Navarro of Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Lena was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Carlos Herrera.

Visitation will be 1:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel.  Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
