Aida Leos Ambriz

Aida Leos Ambriz of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born November 3, 1937, in Marion, Texas. She married Juan Ambriz in June of 1959. Aida worked for Texas Tech University for more than 35 years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time outside watering her flowers, cooking for her family, as well as dancing and listening to her favorite artist, Augustin Ramirez.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years, Juan; children, Mary Ann Covarrubio, Cathy Soliz, Betty Molinar and husband Vicente, and Jr. Ambriz and wife Sandra, all of Lubbock; brother, Willie Leos and wife Fay of The Colony, Texas; grandchildren, Christy, Marissa, Duran, Fabian, Steven, Randy, Monica, Ida Ann, Alexis, Alija, Stephanie, Johnny, Katelynn, Aubrey, and Zaidyn; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Isaiah, Chloe, Casey, Asia, Nazalynn, Justice, Uriah, Shelby, Steven Jr., Zophia, Mercedez, Malaki, Amaya, Zaniah, Matthew, Lilly, Joshua, Giovonni, Chiann, Angel, Sebastian, and Maurcio; and great-great-grandchildren, Salem, Rowan, Aiden, Liam, Lydia, and Robby.

Aida was preceded in death by her mother, Catarina Leos, nine siblings, and one great-grandson, River Gray Silva.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway with a time of sharing starting at 6:00 pm. Visitation will also begin at 9:00 am Wednesday, March 12, 2025, with rosary being cited at 7:00 pm. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Randy Campos, Steven Ambriz, Duran Ambriz, Isaac Perales, Chicago Bear Ambriz, and Matthew Mullins.
