Alexander Dimba

October 23, 1997 — February 23, 2022

We are saddened to announce the death of Alexander Dimba, son to Alex and Stellah Dimba of Lubbock, Texas, which occurred on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Alexander, better known to his friends and family as "Aleki" or "Pablo" was born on October 23, 1997 in Lubbock, Texas. He was a jovial and outgoing child who grew up to be a teddy bear of a man with a huge heart and a sunny personality. Upon graduation he planned to travel the world visiting the unspoiled natural habitats. He intended his first home to be a tiny house that wouldn't make a big imprint on nature. Alexander graduated from Frenship High School and was an alumnus of South Plains College. At the time of his passing, he was attending his final year at Texas Tech University, majoring in personal financial planning.

Alexander was the grandson to the late Alex and Susana Dimba and the late John and Mary Odula. Alexander is survived by his parents, Alex and Stellah Dimba and a younger sister, Connie Dimba; Uncle Thomas and Aunty Hellen Dimba and their family; traditional grandparents William and Margret Yongo; George and Jane Yongo and Jacob and Teresa Ndar. There is also a slew of surviving uncles and aunts from Kenya, Europe and North America that covers the Dimba line, the Odula line and the Yongo line that are too many to mention.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 1-8pm at the Venue on Broadway with the family receiving friends from 5-7pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be recited on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 10am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
