Cleon McCallon, 94, of Wolfforth, Texas, entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 21, 2023. He was born in Shallowater, Texas on November 20, 1929 to Lauice and Myrle McCallon.

He attended schools in O’Donnell, Texas and Frenship schools. He graduated from Draughon’s Business School.

He married his high school sweetheart, Doris Nell Moore, on November 24, 1948. They were married for almost 65 years. They were life time members of First Baptist Church of Wolfforth where Cleon served as a deacon. He served on the Frenship ISD school board and was a member of the Wolfforth Lions Club.

Cleon was honored to serve his country in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, serving in California and Japan. His trip to Washington, DC on the Honor Flight was a cherished memory shared with other veterans.

He was a successful cotton farmer for many years. His family was the joy of his life. Fishing, bowling and playing dominoes were favorite past times he shared with many friends. Family vacations were a priority and often involved fishing rivers and lakes in Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado. His greatest joy in life was his family, watching his sons play football, and spending time going to dinner and movies with his wife. He greatly enjoyed his grandkids and great grandkids.

Special thanks to all the caregivers in the memory care unit at Raider Ranch. They are an awesome group. We also want to thank Traditions Hospice group for their wonderful care, support, and love.

Cleon is survived by his twin sons, Byron and wife Sherry, Myron and wife Kim, grandkids Jamie Minchew and husband Clint, Michelle Airhart and husband Colton, Laurel McCallon, Brooke Baker and husband Taylor, and Dylan McCallon. Great grandchildren Austin, Corbin and Kasin
