Alvino Ramon Lovato, Jr.

Alvino Ramon Lovato, Jr. of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the age of 78.   He was born October 6, 1945, in Lubbock to Alvino and Paulina (Wilson) Lovato, Sr.  As a young child the family moved to California where he graduated from Imperial High School.  As a young adult, he moved back to Lubbock where he worked as a cement contractor in construction.  He enjoyed baseball, golf and bingo, but the highlight of his life was spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are devoted partner for the last 40 years, Gracie Maynes; his children, Terry Perez, Tracy Chavez, Alvino Lovato, III, Johnny Gonzales, Jr., Paul Gonzales, and Victoria Lovato, all of Lubbock; siblings, Yolanda Garcia, Larry Lovato, Cecilia Lovato, and Sammy Lovato; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Alvino was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, Veronica Burns, David Lovato, Daniel Lovato, and Hector Lovato; and two daughters, Jennifer Lovato and Andrea Lovato.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with the family receiving friends and having a time of celebration from 6:00-8:00 pm.   Services are scheduled for 10:00 am Friday, June 14, 2024 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel.
