Anita Jean Crittenden

Anita Jean Crittenden of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the age of 77.  She was born December 30, 1936 in Red Water, Texas to Virgil and Hazel (Satterfield) Ward.  Jean married Wayne Crittenden on January 3, 1957 in Littlefield.  She was a member of the non-denominational congregation.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Wayne; children, Cody Crittenden and wife Marleea of Temple, Susan Wilson and husband Danny of Levelland, Katy van Zielst and husband Maarten of Seminole, and Julie Crittenden of Lubbock; siblings, Johnny Ward and wife Gracie of Levelland and Glenda Witherspoon and husband Bob of Topeka, Kansas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dickie Wayne Crittenden; sister, Juanita Franklin; and grandson, Izaak William van Zielst.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Combest Family Funeral Homes.  Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
