Anne Katherine Stalnaker Vetesk, 78, of Lubbock passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014. She was born August 11, 1936 in Sherman, Texas to Alfred Gideon Stalnaker and Margaret Porcher Green Stalnaker, both whom have preceded her in death. She was reared in Lubbock until she was 11. Her family moved to Ft. Worth where she graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1954. She was a preparatory at the Ft. Worth Museum of Science and History, and taught art there. She also loved the Girl Scouts, camping, boating and fishing. She attended Texas Technological College for two y ears and majored in Advertising Art and Design before she met her husband Dan Conrad Vetesk. They owned Snowhite Bakers Bakery on 34th Street during the sixties and seventies. Anne was a draftsperson for Porter Manufacturing Co., and Fanning, Fanning and Agnew Engineering both in Lubbock, and a draftsperson for the Civil Engineering Department and an illustrator for the Photo Lab both for Reese AFB until she retired. Anne was an artist for many years where her paintings were shown and many won awards over the years. She was a long-time member of The Lubbock Watercolor Association and member of Second Baptist Church, and a former member of United Methodist Church. She is survived by three children, Suzanne Katherine Young and Sarah Elizabeth Vetesk Finch, both of Las Vegas, Nevada and John Christopher Conrad Vetesk of Lubbock.; two sisters, Harriet Sue Stalnaker of Grand Prairie and Nancy Elizabeth Morris of Hurst; two grandchildren, Heather Porcher Young and Chloe Gizelle Young both of Las Vegas, Nevada; three great-grandchildren, Tatianna, Zaiden, and Isaac.
