Anthony Joseph Greco

Anthony “Tony” Joseph Greco of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 with his family by his side.  He was born March 9, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joe and Lillian Greco.  He married Louise (Tosi) Greco in 1957.  He moved his family to Lubbock in 1972 and was involved in the automotive industry for almost 40 years.  He enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life including drag racing, competitive shooting, motorcycles, jet boats, slot cars, and playing and watching sports.  He was a devoted husband and father and cared deeply for animals, especially dogs.  He was stubborn, strong, opinionated, smart and compassionate and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

Those left to cherish many wonderful memories are his wife of almost 57 years, Louise, sons Marc Greco and wife Rhonda, and Chris Greco; daughter Lisa Gilliland and husband Larry; siblings Joey Greco and Susan Meeker; and his beloved dog, Honey.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Combest Family Funeral Homes.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Lubbock Meals on Wheels, 2304-34th Lubbock, TX 79411.
