Barbara Gass DeBusk Gordon

Barbara Gass DeBusk Gordon, 80, of Lubbock, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday evening, January 30, 2024.   Barbara was born on August 25, 1943, in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico to the late William Carroll Barnett, Jr., and Nina Mae Berry.

Barbara attended and graduated from Monterey High School in Lubbock.

She met the love of her life, Kenny Gordon, and they were married on February 23, 2015 in Hobbs, New Mexico.  Mr. Gordon preceded her in death on February 12, 2022.

Barbara worked in the postal department at Covenant Medical Center for 20 years.  She loved to travel, adored being around her friends, doing pottery work and making her own Christmas cards.  One of her highlights was her dogs, who were her constant companions.  She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Lubbock.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include one son, Jon Barnett of Lubbock and her fur baby, Maggie.  Preceding Barbara in death include her parents; 3 husbands:  Don Gass, Chris DeBusk and Kenny Gordon; and one sister, Johnnie Faye Esposito.

Memorial services, being conducted by the family, will be held at 2 PM on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Community Christian Church, 3417 96^th Street, Lubbock, TX 79423.
