Barbara Patton

Barbara Etta (Shapiro) Patton, 83, of Lubbock, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022. She was born in Bronx, New York, on August 23, 1939, to Herman and Alegra (Calderon) Shapiro. In 1993, Barbara married Robert J. Patton at Big Bear Lake, California. She worked as head of housekeeping at Humana in California and took pride in all her work.

Barbara loved to spend her time outdoors gardening and feeding birds. She also loved to shop and be social with friends. Her family will remember her for being direct, generous, and genuine. She will be missed by all who knew her. Barbara loved Led Zeppelin and she always kept it real. She had a lovely smile.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, James Hill; daughter, Nancy (Nick) Vargas; sister, Joan McDonald; and four grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
