Betty Berniece Curry

Betty B. Curry, 92, of Plainview, passed away on July 21, 2013, in Plainview.

Celebration of life services will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with Dr. Bentley Gwyn officiating.  Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Combest Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with the Curry family greeting their guests from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Betty was born on August 13, 1920 to Harry and Nellie (Sybrant) Longbrake, in Peoria, Illinois.  She married the late William Rogers Curry on February 11, 1944 in Brownfield, Texas.  She was a member and a financial secretary for Calvary Baptist Church of Lubbock.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy Gwyn and her husband Bentley of Plainview, two sons: Carroll Curry and his wife Anita of Suwanee, Georgia, and Doug Curry and his wife Carolyn of Amarillo, four grandchildren: Christi Gwyn and Holly Warren, Keith and Ashley Curry, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother, Emory Longbrake
