Betty Jansa

Betty Lanell (Low) Jansa (84) passed from this life July 6, 2022, in Lubbock, TX at home and surrounded by her family. She was born July 9, 1937, to Thomas Ray and Betty Alverene (Langford) Low, in Brady, TX. Upon graduating high school, Betty enrolled to Texas Tech University, where she obtained her bachelor's degree and went on to earn her master's degree in Education from Wayland Baptist University. She married Daniel John Jansa, January 15, 1958; they had one daughter, Lanell. Betty was a dedicated kindergarten teacher for over 30 years.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, her parents, Thomas Ray and Alverene, her brother, Larry Low, and sister, Tommye Rae Herndon. Those left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy are, her daughter, Lanell Peeples (Wichita Falls), her grandsons, Dr. Daniel Carrell and wife Dr. Nettie (Ft. Worth), and Dr. John Carrell and wife Dr. Jaclyn Canas-Carrell; two great-grandsons, Thomas and John, a grand-niece, Lucrecia K. Blubaum and a grand-nephew, John T. Herndon.

According to her wishes, cremation was entrusted to Combest Family Funeral Homes, Lubbock. Her family will have a private, immediate family gathering at a later time.
