Bill Loper, 80, of Lubbock, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday afternoon, February 10, 2023. Bill was born to the late William Virgil “Sam” Loper and Clara Mae (Nabors) Loper.
He graduated from Monterey High School in 1960, and later attended Texas Tech University.
Bill met the love of his life, Jeri Lea Moreland, and they were united in marriage on November 23, 1974, in Lubbock at First Christian Church.
Bill owned Chaparral Graphics for 25 years, before retiring in 2003. He loved his family, fishing, hunting, horses, baseball, Texas Tech football and golf. He was a member of Oakwood Wesleyan Fellowship Church.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Jeri; his children, Lance Loper of Rosharon, Layne Loper and his wife Kristi of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kadee Harcrow and her husband Ronnie of Lubbock, Kristi Jordan and her husband David of Lubbock and Lesley Loper and his wife Carrie of Aledo; one brother, Rick Loper and his wife Lynn of Lubbock; one sister, Sharlotte Rierson of New Mexico; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother, Perry Loper.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Oakwood Wesleyan Fellowship Church, 2215 58th Street, Lubbock, TX 79412. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Texas Girls and Boys Ranch, 4810 North County Road 2800, Lubbock, TX 79403 or to the Children’s Miracle Network at University Medical Center, 602 Indiana Avenue, Lubbock, TX 79415.
