Billie Wayne Parker

November 21, 1928 — January 20, 2024

Tahoka, TX

Billie Wayne Pennington Parker went to be with her Lord Jesus on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Billie was adopted by Willis and Anna (Johnson) Pennington at the age of 6 weeks in Sweetwater, TX. She was a member of the Tahoka First Baptist Church. Her life displayed a life as a Christian through patience, caring, friendship and love

Her profession was a hair dresser. She had “Billie’s Beauty Shop” at her house. But her main goal was to be a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, and a friend to many.

Later in life she found the families of her birth parents. After all of them meeting, they fell in love with her and she with them. Her hobbies were hand crafting many things and her back yard, where she went to sit and work with her flowers. She loved being in God’s handiwork, where she found peace and contentment.   She married Pug Parker on November 28, 1946. They were married for 70 years until his passing on January 19, 2017.

Those left to cherish her memories are sister-Nan Adams Howell (Duane); daughters-Nancy Carkeet (George), Penny Redman (Wes); granddaughters-Lori Franco (Jerry), Amy LeGate (Jason), Briana Norwood (Shea), Abbey Redman; great grandchildren-Jacob Franco, Kaeden Norwood, Lauren Franco, Zoey Redman, Jackson LeGate; and a great great granddaughter-Joplin Gutierrez. Her birth families-sister Neta Mason (R.E.), brother Noel Carter (Patsy), and sister Deidre Watts. Also many nieces, nephews, and friends.
