Billy Ray Carlton

Billy Ray Carlton of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the age of 63.  He was born November 11, 1949 in Amarillo to Claude and Frances (Gilmore) Carlton, Jr.  He retired from the City of Lubbock after 41 years of service as a sign fabricator.  Billy married Ima Breshers on November 15, 1991 in Lubbock.  He was a member of Harvest Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ima; two sons, John Breshers and wife Denise of Lubbock and James Breshers and wife Ashley of Post; three daughters, Connie Breshers of Lubbock, Angie McKay and husband Mike of Katy, and Kathy Hamlin and husband Joey of Post; brother, Larry Carlton of Lubbock; sister, Pat Armes of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with the family receiving friends 5:00-7:00 p.m.  Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
