Bobby D. Jones

Bobby D Jones of Turkey passed away in Lubbock on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the age of 67.  He was born May 10, 1946 in Matador to Elven and Doshie (Gilbert) Jones.  Bobby was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  After honorable discharge he worked as a machinist at Texas Tech University until retiring.  He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Jason Jones and Jeanne Jones, both of Lubbock; three sisters, Sue Richardson of Abilene, Gay Smith of Big Spring, and Wynnie Finch of Lubbock; and three grandchildren.  Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elva Franklin.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel.
