Lubbock

Bonnie Lewellen Wilkinson, 49, passed away peacefully January 17, 2025, in Lubbock, TX. She was born in Houston, TX July 18, 1975, to Lee and Bonnie (Ricks) Lirette.

A lifelong artist and mother of three, Bonnie was known and loved as "Mizz Bonnie" at Roscoe Wilson Elementary School where she was very involved as both a parent, paraprofessional teacher aide, and chess coach. Whether painting, drawing, singing, making jewelry, or cooking, Bonnie was an artist through and through who put her whole heart into everything she made. She fell in love with each piece as she made them, none more so than her children.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Ian Wilkinson, 2 daughters, Pixel and Zia, a son, Sterling, her father and mother in-law, Andy and Mary Ann Wilkinson, her sister and brother-in-law, Emily Wilkinson and Justin Burrus, nieces Margaux and Maizy, and her father and mother, Lee and Bonnie Lirette of Houston.

The Wilkinson family would like to give an extra heartfelt “thank you” to the Roscoe Wilson Family for their love and care.

Bonnie will be honored and celebrated at 1:00pm, Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts 511 Avenue K, Lubbock.
