Brenda Kay Stone

Brenda Kay Stone, 64, of Lubbock, TX passed away on August 22, 2023. Brenda was born on June 28, 1959, to Bernice Mathis and Joe Stone. She graduated from Dunbar High School. She later married Larry Ehresman in 2009 until his death in 2015. Brenda worked for Texas Tech School of Nursing as an Administrative Assistant for over 25 years. She was loved by everyone she worked with. Due to her health Brenda retired in 2017. She lived with her niece Heather and her husband Howard until she was ready to be a Resident at Windmill Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Heather and Howard were Brenda’s closest family. They were her caregivers. Brenda and Heather have always been close. Brenda was only 14 when Heather was born. They were more than aunt and niece; they were best friends. 

Brenda is survived by her Niece; Heather Thomas and husband Howard; half sister Patsy Bonner; 3 Great Nieces, Emily, Lauren and Kathryn; two great-great nieces Samantha and Aurora; and a great-great nephew Theodore. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ehresman; her parents Bernice Mathis and Joe Stone; and her half brother   Dennis Burkett.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday August 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Combest Family Memorial Chapel, Combest Funeral Home, 2210 Broadway St. Lubbock, TX.
