Carlis A. Tucker, 84, of Lubbock, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Carlis was born on November 23, 1937, in Petersburg, Virginia to the late Carlis Aubrey Tucker, Sr. and Mildred Adelle (Green) Tucker.
He grew up in the Petersburg, Virginia area and attended Petersburg High School where he graduated from. After graduation from Petersburg High School, he attended Virginia Tech.
Carlis met Charlotte Ann Wood, the love of his life, and they were married on September 1, 1989, in Colonial Heights, Virginia. Carlis worked in Civil Service as a supply officer for 33 years, from 1963-1996, before he retired. He and wife loved to travel all over the United States in their RV, and he enjoyed deep sea fishing. He was a member of Quaker Avenue Church of Christ.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Charlotte of Lubbock; one son, Duane Tucker and his wife Joanna of Bayfield, Colorado; one brother, Robert Tucker of Colonial Heights, Virginia; one sister, Martha Tucker of Glen Allen, Virginia; three grandchildren, Kyla Tucker, Canyon Tucker and Billy Keith Bryant; and one great-grandson, Seth Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Scott Bryant and Jon Keith Bryant.
