Carolina Rodriguez Esqueda, a beloved soul, departed this life on April 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy enriched with love and faith.
Born on July 11, 1960, in Lubbock, Texas, to Pedro and Natividad Rodriguez Esqueda, Carolina embraced life with a generous spirit and a passion for serving others.
After graduating from Lubbock High School, she dedicated herself to her role as an office manager at the local radio station, where her vibrant personality shone through. A devoted member of Stones Cry Out Fellowship, Carolina found profound fulfillment in her ministry as an Ordained Minister, where her love for worship and sharing faith touched the hearts of many.
Carolina cherished her family deeply, finding joy in quality time spent playing cards and board games, or watching movies—especially those accompanied by delicious theater popcorn. Her beautiful spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro M. Esqueda, maternal grandparents, Gregorio and Felipa Rodriguez and paternal grandparents, Eutimio and Luisa Esqueda.
Carolina is lovingly remembered by her mother, Natividad Esqueda; her children, Ruben Gutierrez and his wife Valerie, Justin Gutierrez and Miranda Armendaris, Isaac Guzman, and Victoria Esqueda; as well as her grandchildren, Joshua Moreno, Alexandra Gutierrez, Destiny Carrion, Devin Sanchez, Brenden Sanchez, and her great-grandchildren, Kalena Gutierrez, Journey Longoria-Moreno, Sophie Moreno, and Xzavian Canales, Lucas Gutierrez. She is also survived by her siblings, Pete Esqueda and his wife Dela, Omar Esqueda and his wife Lupe, Yolanda Vidales and her husband Danny, along with many other family members, church family, and friends who held her dear to their hearts.
Let us gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Carolina, whose love and light continue to inspire us all. Her life will be honored with a series of services at the Combest Family Funeral Home Venue on Broadway, located at 2202 Broadway St, Lubbock, TX, 79401.
Visitation will take place on April 23, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a time of worship with opportunities to share memories at 6:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on April 24, 2025, at 11:30 AM.
The family is honoring Carolina's wish to be cremated.
