Carolyn Bradford Ratliff

Carolyn Sue Ratliff went to be with her Lord on March 28, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas.

Carolyn was born in Lubbock to Martha Louise Teague and Hersel Allen Bradford on November 9, 1940. She graduated from New Deal High School and dedicated her life to building a home and raising her children. She married Jerry V. Ratliff on March 14, 1973, in Lubbock. They remained sweethearts until 2015 when Jerry went to be with the Lord. Carolyn enjoyed nature, being outside in her garden, she loved animals, especially cats and dogs and found great joy in being around and caring for children. She was a faithful member of Southcrest Baptist Church and cherished her relationships there. She especially loved the time she spent with her Sunday School class visiting nursing homes.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her daughter, Cindy Marie Brown.

She is survived by her son, Dan Weeks and his wife Sheila, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister, Helen Price and her husband Charles, nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive guests at Combest Family Funeral Home Sunday, April 6th from 6pm-8pm. A funeral will be held at Combest on Monday, April 7th at 11 am with burial at Peaceful Gardens to follow.
