Cary Sides

Cary Charles Sides of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born on October 31, 1956, in Lubbock. Cary graduated from Monterey High School in 1975. He worked for Lubbock Electric as a welder for more than 30 years before retiring. Cary enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and fishing. His favorite hobby was listening to the Eagles and collecting records. Cary was also a talented artist.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Cameron Sides and Nicholas Sides, both of Lubbock; parents, Dot Smith and Tom Sides, from Ransom Canyon; brother, Craig Sides and wife Cheri of Lubbock; and four grandchildren, Ciara Marie Sides, Ryan Jacob Pena, Cameron Martinez, and Andrea Martinez.

Cary was preceded in death by his stepfather, Clyde D. Smith.

Services are scheduled for 3:00 pm Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway. Private burial will take place.
