Cathy Motley

Cathy Motley of Spade passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the age of 72.  She was born September 21, 1941 in Hutchinson, Kansas.  After high school, Cathy went on to attend Cosmetology School and worked as a hairdresser until retiring in 2007.  She married Lee Roy Motley on January 31, 1958 in Kansas and the couple moved to Cotton Center in 1960, later settling in the Spade area. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Lee Roy; children, Terry Motley and Tammy Owen and husband Carl, all of Spade; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, W. R. and Lola Boyd and brother, Bill Worthington.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Abernathy.
