C.E. Wallace

C. E. Wallace of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the age of 86.  He was born October 12, 1927 in Sadler, Texas to Clarence Elmer and Alma Ophelia (Huffman) Wallace.  C. E. was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served in the Korean War.  He was honorably discharged in August of 1950 and later married Johnl Green on October 16, 1952 in Wichita Falls.  He worked as a building engineer at Sears Roebuck and Company until retiring.  C. E. was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are one niece, Becky Snook and husband David of Lubbock as well as several dear cousins.   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Dorothy Padgett; and nephew, Wally Padgett.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Combest Family Funeral Homes. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
