Chandra Dominguez

Chandra (Chandy) Sheree Dominguez passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on July 31, 2024. She was born to Travis Ware and Athena Huffaker on July 23, 1974 in Seminole Texas and just celebrated her 50th birthday. Chandy Married Jerry Dominguez on Feb 17th, 1997 in Plains, Texas. They shared 28 wonderful years together, have four amazing children, and one beautiful grand baby.  

Chandy had a passion for people. She was an amazing wife, mother, Nana, daughter, sister, aunt, and best friend. She loved spending time with her family laughing and reminiscing. Strength and Bravery were two of her greatest attributes. She was the funniest, smartest, and most genuine person you could ever know. Everyone around her smiled, laughed, and had so much joy in her presence.  

Chandy is survived by her husband, Jerry Dominguez, Her children Brennen, Blake, Bryson, and Bret’lei. Her children’s significant others Arali Balderama, Emily Macias, and Sergio Landeros. She was blessed with one grandchild Ivey Elayne Dominguez of Brennen and Arali. She was survived by her father Travis Ware as well as her two sisters Miranda Thomas and April Ward. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother Joy Huffaker. Along with several nieces and nephews.   

She is proceeded in death by her mother Athena Huffaker Ware, her paternal grandparents Wanda and Troy Ware, and her maternal grandfather Glen Huffaker.  

Chandy fought a good fight, she has finished her race, she is now united with her mothers embrace. Heaven gained our angel. 

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024, from 5:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Combest Family Memorial Chapel, in Lubbock, TX. 

A funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024, at 10:00a.m. at the Denver City Church of Christ with burial to follow at the Denver City Memorial Park. 

The pallbearers will be Blake Dominguez, Brennen Dominguez, Bryson Dominguez, Chris Dickson, Austin Ward, Anthony Perez, Cade Thomas, and Sammy Ward.
