Charlcie Johnson

Charlcie McAteer Johnson, 95, of Ropesville, TX, passed away on November 3, 2023 after living a long and fruitful life.

Charlcie McAteer Johnson was born on January 14, 1928 to Delmus and Edmon McAteer in Meadow, TX. After graduating from Ropesville High School in 1945, she married CR Johnson, going on to have three beautiful children; Charlotte, Candy, and Joey.

Charlcie McAteer Johnson pursued a career as a beautician in Ropesville, TX. She was an avid basketball fan and played high school basketball in Ropesville, TX. She enjoyed china painting, sewing, gardening, and rarely missed a Dallas Mavericks basketball game.

Charlcie McAteer Johnson was predeceased by her parents; her husband, CR Johnson; and her son, Joey Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Huber Johnson; daughter, Candy Miller and her husband Jake Miller; daughter in law, Fern Johnson; grandchildren, Jack and Patricia Bunge Huber, Heidi Huber, Aaron and Stacy Mann, Jeremy Mann, Ryan and Megan Mann, and Marianna Use; great grandchildren, Zachary, Aiden, Dominic, John Henry, and Seth. Her two sisters, Norma Caswell and Kay Puckett. And extended family; Mary and Koshy Abraham; their children, Mathew and Sally Abraham, Thomas and Laura Abraham, and their great grandchildren; Amanya, Mathew, Eli, Mary jo, Luke, Steven, and Jacob.

The visitation will be Thursday 3:00pm-7:00pm at Combest Family Funeral Home and a graveside service Friday at 10:00am at The Resthaven Cemetery.
