Cipriana (Cipi) V. Ramirez, 82 of Lubbock, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, December 29, 2021. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.
Cipi was born May 24, 1939, to the late Jacinto and Santos DeLeon Vasquez in Harlingen, Texas. Cipi married her loving husband, Juan Ramirez, January 10, 1960, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, in Lubbock TX. She worked as a linen clerk at Methodist Hospital until her retirement in 2002. Cipriana took great delight in gardening, playing the lottery, singing, listening to music, traveling, family cookouts, camping and bird gazing. Cipriana had many passions throughout her lifetime, but her greatest treasure was spending time with her beloved family. Cipriana and Juan raised 9 beautiful daughters together. The two of them ensured that not one single night was missed with bedtime blessings for each girl. She also took great joy for being present at the births of her grandchildren and showering them with the love her heart was full of. Cipriana spent her life loving Jesus as a devoted Catholic, reminding her family "Si Dios quiere." Cipriana was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Cipi left a beautiful mark in this world, she will be deeply missed.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of almost 62 years, Juan Ramirez; her daughters, Anita Garza, Delia Sustaita, Diana Mercado, Nicanora Parras, Lucia Martinez Sylvia Crawford, Reyna Wisneski, Lidia Wickersham, Juanita Alcorta; 33 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great- grandchildren; Cousin, Teresa Zertuche from San Antonio; and numerous extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2022 at the Combest Family Funeral Home Venue, with the Rosary to be cited at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 4th at 11:00 a.m., St. Joseph Catholic Church, burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
