Claude Hogan of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the age of 100. He was born March 13, 1913 in Gorman, Texas to Travis and Laura (Cagle) Hogan. After attending Cisco College he went to work for Lyntegar Electric Company as a lineman. Claude married Dorthy Ann Lucas on December 6, 1941 in Eastland. He was member at Sweet Street Baptist Church in Tahoka. Claude was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in World War II.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Claudette Morse and Sally Hogan, both of Lubbock; one brother, Carl Jones of Stephenville; three grandchildren, Randy Morse of Lubbock, Kevin Stewart of Washington State, and Christopher Allen Stewart of Austin; and two great-grandchildren.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorthy in 1991; and granddaughter, Pam Stephens in 2005.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel in Lubbock with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
