Cynthia Latura Hale

Cynthia Latura Hale, 67, of Lubbock, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.  She was born on April 11, 1956, in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio, to the late Peter Latura and Stephanie (Magnosky) Latura.

Cynthia attended Burleson High School, graduating with the senior class of 1974.  She then attended Texas Tech University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education in 1978, specializing in English. 

She met the love of her life, Kent Hale, and they were united in marriage on July 14, 1979, in Burleson, Texas, and out of this union two daughters were born.

Cynthia was a devoted English teacher with the Lubbock Independent School District for several years and taught English at All Saints.  She became an independent real estate broker, working for 18 years before retiring in 2017.  She loved to play tennis and to love and spoil her grandson, Hale.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, Kent; two daughters:  Hilary Hale and Bridget Hale of Lubbock; one sister, Kathy McCoubrey of Lubbock; one grandson, Hale Brown of Lubbock.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

No services are planned for Cynthia currently.
