Dana Mason

Dana Lynne Mason (Suggs), 62, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas.

She was born on January 21, 1963, in Pecos, Texas to Billy Steven Suggs and Patricia Hawkins. She lived in Lubbock from the age of 12. With a servant's heart, Dana always worked to uplift others. She worked as a Site Coordinator for Sound Physicians for the past 11 years and as a medical office administrator for the last 44 years. Through her work, Dana touched the lives of countless people. Whether in her personal or professional life, Dana always put the needs of others above her own. Dana truly loved everyone around her. 

Dana is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Dennis Charles Mason, 66, of Lubbock; sons, Cory David Mason, 42, and Steven Charles Mason, 39, and wife Kara Jean (Waite) Mason, 43, all of Lubbock; and grandson, Samuel Carter Mason, 15, of Lubbock.

Dana's family was everything to her. As part of this love, Dana established her family's lineage for nine generations. She also established Dennis's lineage for six generations. Dana always showed pride in her family, both living and ancestors, and she shared this love freely with anyone who would accept it. Dana's grandson, Samuel, was her pride and joy. Everyone who knew her knew Samuel through her. 

Graveside services for Dana will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Dana’s name.
