Dani Kaye Haynes, 62, of Lubbock, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday night, April 30, 2022. Dani was born on November 14, 1959, in Ft. Worth, Tarrant County, Texas to the late Dan and Louise Mason.
Dani attended and graduated from high school in Neosho, Missouri. She met Kevin Haynes, the love of her life, and they were married on February 10, 1978, in Neosho, Missouri. Dani served as the school secretary for Hanna Springs School for 13 years. Dani was a missionary, as well as a missionary's wife, having served with her husband in Ecuador for 5 years. She has been involved in ministry all of her life, being a faithful Christian and serving her Lord in many capacities. Dani has been a member of Sunset Church of Christ for the last 15 years and was heavily involved in numerous church activities and ministries. She was a volunteer at the local Ronald McDonald House in Lubbock.
She loved to cook and sew, but her most enjoyable thing to do was to be a loving grandmother to her precious grandchildren. She loved going to the beach, especially Cozumel.
Those left to cherish and honor her memory include her husband, Kevin; two sons, Josh Haynes and his wife Heather, of Lubbock, and Matt Haynes and his wife Leslie, of Charlotte, North Carolina; two sisters, Becky Moore of Joplin, Missouri and Karla Wallace and her husband Mike of Webb City, Missouri; one brother, Mike Williams and his wife Helen, of Sanford, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Eden, Ellis, Harper and Holden Haynes. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bob Williams.
The Sunset Church of Christ will host a visitation for the family to receive friends on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the church parlor. Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, May 7, 2022, in the auditorium of Sunset Church of Christ, 3723 34th Street, Lubbock, TX 79410.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Dani's memory be made to the Sunset International Bible Institute (SIBI), 3723 34th Street, Lubbock, TX 79410, or to the Ronald McDonald House, 3413 10th Street, Lubbock, TX 79415.
