David Ureste

David Herrera Ureste, 74, of Lubbock, passed away from his earthly home on Thursday, March 30, 2023. He was born on January 21, 1949 in Edinburg, Texas to Guillermo Ureste and Lucinda Herrera. David worked as a mechanic body shop painter for over 50 years, he took great pride in his work. He was a member at Our Lady of Grace.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children Lisa (Clarence) Ureste, Debbie Ureste, Guadalupe Cerda, Joe (Debbie) Cerda, and David Ureste; siblings, Erlinda (Ray) Ureste Maldonado, Ernesto (Lisa) Ureste Sr., Robert (Virgie) Ureste); 7 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Josephine V Ureste; parents, Guillermo Ureste and Lucinda Herrera Ureste; and brother, Edward Ureste.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, at the Venue on Broadway from 1:00pm until 8:00pm with the Rosary being recited at 6:00pm. A mass service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, at Our Lady of Grace at 10:00am. Interment will follow the mass at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
