Debra Cunningham

Debra Diane (Nichols) Cunningham passed away January 10, 2023, in Lubbock, TX. She was born March 28, 1962, to James Andrew and Jewel Rose (Durant) Nichols in Lubbock, TX.

Debra was a tribal member of the Choctaw Nation, was of the Christian faith, and attended The Heights Fellowship Church. She enjoyed BTS-music (she would share her love of them wherever she went), watching K-dramas, and loving her grandbabies. Debra was a loving mother and grandmother; she had many names, such as, Debbie, Melba, Granny, and Nanny; her greatest love of all was Jesus. Debra will be greatly missed by her family and her friends.

Debra was preceded in death by her husband, Rusty Cunningham, her parents James and Jewel Nichols, 2 brothers, James Larry and James Michael, and 2 sisters, Barbara Ann and Janet Lea. Those left to cherish her memories are a daughter Amber (Justin) Massoud, a son Andy (Brittany) Biggs, her grandkids, Kailea Nichols, Savannah Nichols, Mia Massoud, Ophelia Biggs, Penelope Biggs, Gauge Chambless, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

According to her wishes, cremation will occur, under the direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes, Lubbock.
