Donald Vincent Hopkins, "Vince" 61, of Lubbock and Amarillo, went to be with our Lord after a struggle with cancer on January 24, 2014. 

Vince Hopkins was a beloved West Texas classic rock musician with an extensive background playing music throughout Texas since the 1960s.  He entertained with countless live performances and recorded 9 albums under the band names of The Dream Machine, Street Theatre, Vince Hopkins and the Texas Brigade and many more. 

Vince Hopkins was loved by many especially his family. He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Hopkins; brother, Nick Hopkins; wife, Judy Hopkins; 4 sons, Justin and Gabriel Hopkins and Kevin and Kyle Johnson; daughter, Julie Creech and 5 grand children.

Dad will be missed so much, he was a good man with a large heart; God speed on your journey to Heaven; Angels on your pillow; We love you, Grandpa!; Rock n Roll Forever! In the words of a friend, “In Vince’s recent trials ol’ Vince was fearless and audacious as a guitarist and as a man. Proud to call him friend and brother!”

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Vandelia Church of Christ, 2002 60th St.
