Donald Richard Jeter

Donald Richard Jeter, born February 14th, 1943, to the late Claud and Hattie Jeter of Lamesa, Texas, peacefully passed away in his home on January 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed telling stories to entertain all the kids. He enjoyed his 40 years with TxDot doing design work. He retired in 2001 when he and his spouse of 46 years, Terry, were blessed to be able to travel extensively and frequently with the company of their beloved schnauzers.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Terry Jeter; his daughter Kristi; his son Johnny; one nephew; two nieces; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and his siblings, Linda and Carol. He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby, and his parents Claud and Hattie Jeter.

Family Memorial Services for Richard Jeter will be held at a later date.

Richard’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. In lieu of flowers donations to American Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
