Doris Mae Wheeler

Doris Mae Wheeler of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the age of 87.  She was born August 29, 1927 in Petersburg to Roe and Ore Lee (Wallace) Hogg.  Doris worked as a homemaker and was a member of Redbud Baptist Church.  She married Ova Daniel Wheeler on November 14, 1946 in Clovis, New Mexico.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Linda Spear and husband Don of Smyer; sons, Lonnie Wheeler and wife Deborah of Lubbock and Ronnie Wheeler and wife Vickie of Amarillo; daughter-in-law, Debbie Wheeler of Lubbock; sisters, Emma Russell of Olton and Jean Ford of Plainview; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

 Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Garland Hogg and Deloris Wilkenson; and son, Bobby Wheeler.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
