Dorothy Craig

July 15, 1933 — December 30, 2021

Dorothy Mae Craig, 88 of Tahoka passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on December 30, 2021. She was born July 15, 1933 to George Olen and Pearl (Starnes) Key in Fannin County, Tx. She attended school in O'Donnell, Tx. She married Harvey Craig September 6, 1951. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband in June 2001 and her siblings George Key, Bill Key and JoAnn McNeely.

She worked at Collier Parker Pharmacy and Tahoka Drug in the 60's. She helped out on the farm driving grain trucks and hauling cotton trailers to the gin. In 1974 Harvey and her started Lamesa Cycle Sales and lived and worked in Lamesa until 1987. They had a Honda Goldwing motorcycle and enjoyed traveling together on it and going to Ruidoso for events held there each year. She was a caregiver to relatives through the years and to many people in Tahoka up to the age of 86. She was a member of Sweet Street Baptist Church for over 60 years and faithful to attend.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Karen Melton and husband Bob of Midland, Cindy Hawthorne and husband Mark of Tahoka, grandchildren; Ty Stark, Sarah Fumagalli, Brody Melton, Anna Hawthorne, Seth Hawthorne, Serena Lester and David Melton. Great-grandchildren; Tessa Fumagalli, Braxton Stark, Brantley Stark, Landon Melton, Reace Lester, Ryleigh Lester, Cory Melton and Caleb Melton.
