Douglas Herman Luedecke, Sr

Douglas Herman Luedecke, Sr. of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the age of 73.  He was born November 21, 1940 in Pampa, Texas to Ernest and Clara (Prescott) Luedecke. He also served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed with Southwestern Bell as a construction foreman until his retirement in 1991. Douglas was married to the late Sami (Cook) Luedecke, they were married on September 4, 1960 in Pampa, Texas.

Those left to cherish his memory are one son, Doug Luedecke of McKinney; two daughters, Misti Caffey (Scott) and Debi Bostick all of Lubbock; one brother, Rondal Luedecke (Charolette) of Marble Falls; and one sister, Wanda Leith of Weatherford; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel.
