Eloise Garcia

A service to celebrate the life of Eloise C. Garcia, 83, of Lubbock Tx passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025. 

The daughter of the late Juan Castro Sr. And Beatrice Gonzales Castro. She was born on Sat. January 3, 1942, in Fentress, Tx. She married the love of her life Joe M. Garcia on Wed. April 6, 1966, in Lubbock, TX. Eloise is loved and will be missed by her children, daughter Marilanda (Raul) Cristan. Sons, Oscar Garcia, Isidro Garcia, and Billy (Amanda) Garcia. Grandchildren Raul (Nicole) Cristan Jr., Felipe Garcia, Eddie Garcia, Jessica (Gerald) Narbaez, Rachel (Joe) Garcia, JoAshley (Anthony) Covarrubio, Sydney Martinez and Lillian Garcia, Jasper (Sable) Garcia, Kobe (Brooklyn) Garcia, and Josiah Garcia. She was also Blessed with 32 Great Grandchildren.

Eloise retired from Tyco Fire Products. She loved working in her garden both floral and vegetable. She enjoyed crocheting and tried to make a blanket for each Grandchild. While she enjoyed watching all football, her favorite team was Kansas City Chiefs. She would cut our phone calls short to watch the game. She nurtured all of us with much love. Especially her son Isidro that has lived with her his entire life. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Beatrice Castro Sr., Husband Joe M. Garcia, Son Uvaldo Garcia Jr., and Grandson Brian Cristan. Siblings, Frances Chapa, Juan Castro Jr, Lidia Luera, Pedro Castro Sr., and Elena Montemayor. 

A time of visitation for Eloise will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 3:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. with the Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00p.m. Visitation will take place in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel. 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
