Eloy Moreno

Eloy Moreno (66) passed away August 20, 2022, in Lubbock, TX. He was born November 23, 1955, to Noe A. and Bertha (Quesada) Moreno, in Rio Hondo, TX. Eloy graduated Lubbock High School in 1974

Eloy was a loving husband, Father, and Grandfather. He worked hard to provide for and make his family happy. There was never a day that went by where he didn’t make any one laugh. Eloy was full of jokes and good times. He enjoyed family time, cooking, crafts, and watching television. Our loving father will be forever missed but always remembered for the amazing man he was.

Eloy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Noe A. and Bertha Moreno, his brothers, Noe Q. Moreno, and Mario Moreno, and 3 sisters, Josephine Cuevas, Beatrice Moreno, and Dolores Lincoln, and 3 nephews. Those remaining to cherish his many memories are, his wife Lidia Martinez, his children; Josie Moreno, Monica (Gilbert) Barrera, Beatrice Moreno, Michael (Bianca) Martinez, Freddy Martinez, Lisa (Tony) Ortega, Jr. (Shelia) Martinez, 4 brothers, Gilbert Moreno, Raul Moreno, JoeLuis Moreno, and Manuel Moreno; 2 sister, Olga Esparza and Cruz Vasquez; 20 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Combest, Venue on Broadway, 2210 Broadway St., Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 2pm-7pm. A Rosary will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 6pm-8pm at the Venue on Broadway. The funeral service will be held Friday, August 26, 2022, at 10am, at Our Lady of Grace, with Deacon Joe Officiating; burial will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Combest Family Funeral Homes.
