Eula Frances Taylor, born on August 23, 1937, in DeKalb, Texas, passed away on January 12, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. Frances was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, known for her unwavering dedication to her family and her strong sense of community.

In 1955, she married James Taylor of Bryant in New Mexico, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. Frances took great pride in her family, cherishing the opportunity to watch them grow over her remarkable 88 years. Over those years she was accompanied by all 7 children, and a special addition. In addition to her children, she leaves behind a host of grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and several great-grandchildren.

Frances was known for her love of games, enjoying Dominoes and playing cards, often bringing family together for friendly competition. She also found joy in doing puzzles and was an enthusiastic member of her church choir at the First Progressive Baptist Church, where she shared her passion for music and community.

A favorite saying of Frances was, "Clean up what you messed up," a motto that reflected her practical approach to life and her desire to maintain harmony in her relationships. Her generous spirit and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Frances leaves behind her brother, James Rylee Smith from Terrel, her children Johnny (Deloris) Taylor, Vanessa (Judge) Menton, Beatrice (Forris) Taylor, and Kevin Taylor. She was preceded in death by one brother, four sisters, and four of her children: Earl Taylor, Dessie (Odell) Hunter, James Jr. Taylor, and Timmy Taylor.
