Evelyn Joyce Cox

Evelyn Joyce Cox, 58, of Lubbock, passed away on June 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her own home.  Evelyn was born on September 14, 1964, in Alexandria, Rapides Parish, Louisiana.

She attended Monterey High School in Lubbock, Texas.

Evelyn met Floyd Cox, and they were united in marriage on June 8, 2012, in Lubbock.  She loved doing diamond art, loving on her fur babies, watching the Food Network and spending time with family.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory include her husband, Floyd; her former spouse, Brian Kirby; two daughters, Jennifer Williams of Lubbock and Stephanie Kirby of Roswell, New Mexico; her son in law, Daniel Williams of Lubbock; four sisters, Cynthia Floyd of Lecompte, LA, Brenda Belgard of Pinesville, LA, Kimberly Simmons of Lecompte, LA and Connie Ryan of Moore, OK; her step-mother, Peggy McNeely of Lecompte, LA and three grandchildren, Kaylee Foster of Lubbock, Addison Williams of Lubbock and Blaze Smith of Roswell, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, her biological father, Morris McNeely, father Doug Hight, Margie Hight and two daughters, Kayla Jean Kirby and Sharon Michelle Kirby.

No services for Evelyn are planned at this time.  Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
