Florinda Ramirez

Florinda Delarosa Ramirez, 81, of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 in Lubbock, surrounded by her loving family.

Florinda was born on October 20, 1940 in Mercedes, Texas to Federico Delarosa, Sr. and Maria Garcia Delarosa.  She was raised in Olton, Texas and had lived in California, Levelland, Matador, Tahoka and moved to Lubbock in 2006.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and keeping them in line.  She loved to go to garage sales and collect clothes, shoes, and purses.  She loved cooking Mexican food, especially fidel, homemade tortillas, and her beans.  She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She was married to Jesus C. Ramirez, Jr. in Olton.

Florinda is survived by her husband, Jesus Ramirez, Jr. of Lubbock, daughter, Flora M. Trejo and husband, Avel, of Lubbock, son, Federico Ramirez and wife, Anita, of Tahoka, 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jesus Ramirez, III, siblings, Felix Delarosa, Federico Delarosa, Emilia Flores, Eluteria Hernandez, Ricardo Delarosa, and Odelia Ruiz, and great grandson, Julias Ray Ramirez.

Viewing will be 3 – 8 PM Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway, in Lubbock.  Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Venue on Broadway in Lubbock.  Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.  Arrangements are under the personal care of Combest Family Funeral Home in Lubbock.
