Frances Keefer

February 12, 1931 — May 12, 2024

Our beloved mother Frances Louise Keefer, 93, of Lubbock went home to be with the Lord and her husband of 62 years, Miles C. Keefer on May 12, 2024.

Mother was known as Louise to all her friends and loved ones. She was born on February 12, 1931 in Honey Grove, Tx to parents Claude and Jonnie Mae Bales. They moved from Honey Grove to Knox city when she was young; then moved to Lubbock in 1944. Louise worked at Wylie's Café across from the court house which is where she met our dad. She worked for Litton Industries where she excelled and retired after 20 years of service. Mother and dad were incredible 42 partners, who were hard to beat. Louise continued to play 42 at Wilshire Place with her friends. Mom did beautiful crochet pieces and loved painting using both oils and color pencil, and she could put a puzzle together in no time.

Mom is survived by her three children; Miles C. Keefer, Jr and wife Pam, Carolyn S. Clampitt and Kenneth L. Keefer, grandchildren: Leslie, Chris, Katie and Kelsey. Great grandchildren: Gwyneth, Autumn, Hazel and Harlow, and two sisters. Mother will be laid to rest next to our father at the Lubbock City Cemetery on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11:30 am.

The family would like to extend their most sincere appreciation to Mylonne, Jill and the entire team at Wilshire Place for their care, compassion and the years enjoyed there.
