Francisco “Frank” Trevino of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the age of 78. He was born March 27, 1935 in Del Rio to Gonzalo and Elvira (Salazar) Trevino. Frank was married to Kay Rangel. He was a retired State of Texas employee and a part time barber since 1959. He was a diehard Texas Longhorn Fan who loved spending time with his grandchildren. Frank was an optimist, had many friends and was very personable to all who came in contact with him. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, was a Cursillistas and Guadalupano, and an accomplished calligraphist.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kay; two daughters, Jackie Trevino of Lubbock and Gwendolyn Morin of Abilene; one brother, Gonzalo Trevino, Jr. of Austin; three sisters, Yolanda Menchaca of Dayton, Ohio, Elvira Del Toro of Del Rio, and Dora Zamora of Austin; and two grandchildren, Brianna Trevino and Esteban Morin.
Rosary is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 20th and 21st, 2013 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow.
