Gary Brooks

Gary Allen Brooks of Tahoka passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born November 25, 1949, in Lubbock to Neely and Elsie (McKaughan) Brooks, Sr. After graduating from Tahoka High School, Gary worked as a truck driver until he retired. He will be best known for being a hard-working man. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Jeff Goolsby and wife, Andi of Lubbock; brother, Joe Brooks of Tahoka; five grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Venita Brooks and Donna Brooks; 10 nieces and nephews; as well as extended family and friends who loved him dearly. 

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and three brother, Ronnie, Richard, and Neely, Jr. 

The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 am on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Combest Family Funeral Homes in Tahoka with services beginning at 10:30 am in the Chapel. Interment will follow at the Tahoka Cemetery.
